Bicycling

So, I haven't mentioned it yet, but we have moved. No, I won't be telling where we moved - its in the same state, just on the other side. With this new house, we have a cul-de-sac. It's still considered country, but it's also a bit of a neighborhood. It's pretty fancy.

With the cul-de-sac, comes a quiet street. And with a quiet street, comes a good place to ride my bike. And with bike riding comes great fun. And with great fun comes- never mind. I think you get the point that this is a great place to ride your bike.

But it's not just our street which is great for bike riding. We have a path on the back acres of our property that will be great for mountain biking, we just need to clear a couple of fallen trees. And there are some great bike riding paths in town, as well. They aren't only bike riding paths though, you can run or walk on them, too.

But, let's admit it,  running isn't nearly as fun. Especially when you have a good bike. And I love my bike.

I recently took time to clean and oil the chain and all the gears, and boy were they dirty. But now, it shifts like a dream. Smooth and quick!

But anyway, that's all for today's random post. I think I'm going to go ride my bike!

PHOTO DUMP!

As an amateur photographer, I take a decent photo every once in a while. At least, that's what I think. Let me know if you agree!

Painting.

You know what's interesting? Painting.

Sometimes you need one coat, other times you need several. Sometimes it's messy, other times it isn't. Sometimes it's fun, while other times its the most boring thing ever.

But, the one constant, the actual fun part of painting is when you are putting on a nice vibrant color and it starts covering more and more of that old color - which you got bored of.  There are several reasons a color gets old, maybe it was looking dull and sad or simply because it was an ugly brown or something.

I recently painted my room. It was beige. Now two walls are green and the other two are blue. I'm quite happy with how it looks so far.

I'm also adding a twist to the traditional paint job. I'm using syringes to drip paint down the wall.

It's sort of like this, except with just black paint, on a bright green wall.

It looks really nice, and I will post some pictures once I put all the furniture back.

P.S. I recently learned the P.S. stands for post scriptum and I thought that was really neat, so I should use that knowledge in a blog post.

P.P.S. That image of peanut butter on my last blog post looks really legit.

Dear Peanut Butter,

Hello Dearest,
Whether in a sandwich, on a spoon, or in candy, you are always a delectable - I mean dependable - friend.

Now, I'm not sure where I'm going to take this letter to Dearest aka Peanut Butter, however, I'm sure me and my random ways, will find the correct way to... randomize it.

I didn't know until today, that you could be used around the house in so many ways like, as a lubricant, shaving cream, a deodorizing agent after cooking. However, all of these uses seem like such a waste, not utilizing your best potential. Not to mention, you're pretty nutritious, too!

Anyway, let's recap. You're delicious, highly nutritious, and you can be used around the house. What more can you ask from a friend?

Living under elephants

So we're moving. From somewhere in Tennessee to somewhere else in Tennessee. And in between living in these two "somewheres" we are living in an apartment elsewhere, near somewhere else, Tennessee.

Keeping up?

So this apartment is pretty nice. It's newly built, the amenities are pretty decent, and the people seem pretty nice.

But I suppose this cannot be perfect housing for everyone.

Because it's loud! Specifically, the people upstairs.

They are surprisingly heavy footed. Or maybe they are bowling? Or maybe it's MMA lessons at 2am. And from the few times I have seen them, they are a young family with a small dog. They shouldn't be that heavy footed, you'd think.

Fortunately, we won't be here much longer because we close on our house this week.
