Happy Holidays *GASP* Trigger Warning

Hey, everyone. Sorry for the lack of posts lately - I have been quite busy as of late. I kind of blew the whole, "I will be posting a new story every Friday" out of the water, eh? I'm sorry about that.

Anyway, I'm not sure how often I will be posting until after the holidays, so if I don't post something random soon, have a happy thanksgiving, and a Merry Christmas.

And no, I'm not sorry for saying "Merry Christmas".

Well, doesn't this have a lot of sass....

Something new...

As a new school assignment, I will be curating a story based off a writing prompt and sticking it on this blog. A new one will be out every Friday.

Real Racing 3 Update.

I applaud Real Racing 3 for their latest contest. It was by far, the best contest there has been in the game in a long time. There weren't any impossible objectives, or any that were way too easy. It was truly something special. I won the wonderfully amazing McLaren P1 GTR which is shown bellow.

This car is... it's just wow. That's how I'm going to describe it. If you readers don't play this game, you start with a really basic car. They handle very sluggishly, poor acceleration, and so forth and what have you. This car though... I know, I know. it isn't fair to compare this car to those cars, because this is in an entirely different class, but that was a very basic analogy.

So, back to talking about the contest. Usually they try very hard to make you spend/buy the special currency, weather it's to skip the contest, or to buy more upgrades. but this time they aced it. I got away with doing only 15 upgrades, and I only got upset about one race (which was totally rigged). I hope to see more contests like this, not only because I won a beast of a car, but because I actually had fun doing it.

Oh, and a really sad/dumb/really weird thing about winning this car, is the small fact I can't race it. I am that stage where I need to spend 150 gold on a car to unlock a stage of races. And to race this car, you have to either unlock the "legendary" stage (which is 3 stages after the unlocking of that 150 gold car), or wait for a multiplayer event that has this car in it.

Thanks for reading, and tell me in the comments if you also won this car.

Just browsing...

Aren't sports cars amazing? Isn't it awesome how you can build your dream sports car online? I'm not sure what inspired me to find the Dodge Viper GTS' website, but look what I designed!
Isn't that gorgeous? and as a plus, it was the best "car building" tool I have used online. So, good job, Dodge! I hope you copy this building website for your other cars because theirs aren't nearly as nice.
I think Porsche did a good job also with their building tool.
Of course both would be an absolute blast to drive, but I think the Viper has won my heart with the fact that it's mostly american (I'm not sure where it's manufactured), and just look at it!

I have been checking out more manufacturer's "build and price" tools, and I think these two win. If you people think otherwise, feel free to let me know in the comments.

Learning to play again.

You know the feeling of trying to learn to play a game again after not playing it for a while? Sometimes, if it's a game you're really obsessed over, you remember how to play, with the exception of learning the new updates. The game in question is Modern Combat 5 by Gameloft, or MC5. It's a pretty cool game. I am by no means a professional in it. But it's fun. Just like every iOS game I play, I play it in seasons. A month, or two of playing it, and stopping for 3 months or so. It's a cool game. Until my iPad gets hot (ba-dum-sss) and I can't play it anymore. Another con, is that unlike Real Racing 3 - which I discuss here - is that they really push in-app purchases! But it's a cool game.

Now, you may think that I am only going to talk about video games on this blog, but no. It's just that I have been really busy as of late, and I find that in my free time, I would prefer to sit down and play iOS games than write on this blog. Its new to me, and I am still working this *points around the screen* into my schedule.

A reason for my lack of posts is this little guy, named appropriately Mr. Waffles.

And another reason is this other guy, Z-Bo, our foster dog. He likes everything to be on schedule with no deviations... I don't like to live that way.

I really do hope to be posting more soon. I know I have said this a couple of times, but I mean it. Sorry to let any avid-readers down. But I doubt I have any yet.

Yet.

learning Latin

So, since I've started high school this year, I had to chose a language to learn. I chose the mother language. Latin. I chose Latin because I wanted it to be easy enough for my slow-ish mind. So far - 3 weeks into it - it seems really cool. I like how many similarities there are between Latin words and English words. I know that English was inspired a lot by Latin, but I keep expecting it to be harder.

Maybe soon I will post Latin quotes on the side or something.

Why, thank you, EA.

I like Electronic Arts. Even though I only have one of their major games, Real Racing 3. It's a really nice game. My question for this blog post - my first one - why would EA make Real Racing 3 free? I started wondering this when I took a closer look at the graphics. I mean making graphics this nice - like those in the game - for a mobile device probably isn't easy. I stress the word "probably" in this sentence, because I wouldn't know.

Back to the point.

I know EA makes big bucks on all of their other titles, so they can move their earnings around to other games, but why would they make this game free? They could have made this game $1.99, or $.99 on top of in-app purchases and they would have been making loads of dough. But instead they made it free with in-app purchases. I'm not ungrateful that it is free, oh no! But for those people who only buy free games and don't spend any money on in-app purchases, they are losing money.

Meh, I don't know. I just figured this would be an appropriate subject for a blog post so random like I'd like mine to be. Thanks for reading this little post, I shall be posting more hopefully soon.
